Who We're Looking For
PawKeen exists to give Australian pet owners honest, practical advice they can actually trust. We're not a content farm — every article on this site is written by someone who genuinely knows what they're talking about.
If you're a veterinarian, vet nurse, certified dog trainer, animal nutritionist, experienced groomer, pet behaviourist, or simply a passionate pet owner with genuine first-hand knowledge — we want to hear from you.
You're a great fit if you...
- Have professional qualifications or deep hands-on experience with pets
- Live in Australia (or understand Australian pet ownership — brands, climate, vet costs, regulations)
- Can back up claims with evidence, not just opinions
- Write in plain English — no jargon walls, no fluff
- Have a genuine desire to help pet owners make informed choices

Submission Guidelines
Content Requirements
- Word count: 1,200 – 3,000 words. Long enough to be genuinely useful, short enough to respect the reader's time.
- Original content only. Your article must not be published anywhere else — including your own blog, Medium, or LinkedIn.
- Australian context. Reference Australian brands, prices in AUD, local vet practices, climate considerations, and AU regulations where relevant.
- Evidence-based. Link to reputable sources (veterinary journals, university research, government guidelines). No unsupported health claims.
- Practical and actionable. Every article should leave the reader knowing what to do next. Avoid vague generalities.
- No AI-generated content. We use detection tools. AI-assisted research is fine — AI-written articles are not.
Formatting
- Use clear H2 and H3 subheadings to break up the content
- Include bullet points or numbered lists where they add clarity
- Add a short author bio (2-3 sentences) with your credentials
- Submit as a Google Doc or .docx file — not PDF
- Include 2-3 royalty-free or original images if possible
What You Get
- Author byline with your photo, name, credentials, and a link to your website or professional profile
- Exposure to a growing audience of engaged Australian pet owners
- A do-follow backlink to your website within your author bio
- Social media promotion — we share every published article across our channels
We don't accept:
- Sponsored posts or paid placements disguised as articles
- Thin, generic content that could apply to any country
- Articles promoting a single product or brand without genuine comparison
- Anything with medical advice that contradicts established veterinary science
- Re-published or syndicated content from other websites
- Link-building outreach with no genuine value to our readers
How to Submit
- Send a pitch first. Head to our contact page and send a brief outline (3-5 bullet points) of what you want to write about and why you're qualified to write it.
- Wait for approval. We'll review your pitch within 5 business days. If it's a fit, we'll confirm the topic and any specific angles we'd like covered.
- Write and submit. Send your completed draft as a Google Doc with commenting enabled.
- Editorial review. Our team will review, fact-check, and may suggest edits. We'll notify you before publishing.
- Publication. Once approved, your article goes live with full author credit and promotion.
